The first bowl of the collection.

Inspired by New Zealand’s glacial lakes and rivers and the setting sun on the mountain peaks.

Each bowl will explore patterns, minerals, lighting, and pigments from nature.

This piece, like the others to come, is made entirely from glass fibre reinforced concrete (GRC / GFRC). Pigments are added to the concrete mix and then acrylic paints, metal powders and sealers are used to enhance the over-all effect.

At Unfound we hope to change the general perception of concrete as just a cold, grey, industrial building material and reveal its versatility, specifically GRC as a lightweight, strong, and low-carbon material that stands the test of time.
