We were commissioned to create 6 bespoke, branded concrete stools for the VIP Heineken pop-up space at QT Hotel Auckland’s “The Green Room” roof-top bar.

A custom master pattern was machined to create the 5mm debossed Heineken logos on either side of the stools as well as the bevelled edges. From that, a mould was made. Each stool was then hand made from glassfibre reinforced concrete (GRC / GFRC) and coated with a highly durable, UV and waterproof sealer.

Due to GRCs high strength, each stool was only 15mm thick resulting in a total weight of 30kg per stool with dimensions of 450x450x450.

Inset handles make for easy moving by two people or even by one person comfortable handling 30kg. Stainless steel feet were cast into each stool, with rubber soles to prevent scratching to any floor surface.

The smooth, satin finish on these really added to the luxurious feel of the summer venue.
