Commissions

We work with architects, landscape architects, interior designers, developers, arts advisors, brands, and private collectors. Every commission begins with a conversation. If you have a fully resolved brief, we will execute it with precision. If you have only an instinct, we will help you find the form.

COMMISSION TRACKS

I

Public Art & Monumental Sculpture

This is where our ambition is pointed. We design and fabricate large-scale sculptural works for civic and commercial spaces — work that holds a site, earns prolonged attention, and endures the New Zealand climate for decades. We work in low-carbon GRC concrete as a primary medium, alongside timber, steel, and mixed media, at any scale the brief demands.

We welcome direct commissions from developers, arts advisors, and institutions, and are equally open to fabricating approved works for commissioned artists who need a studio with the capability to realise large-scale concrete.

Architectural & Landscape

We are a natural collaborator for architects, interior designers, and landscape architects who need a fabricator capable of resolving the pieces that cannot be bought off a shelf. We work from your plans and drawings, match your specifications precisely, and prototype before committing to full production.

The same concrete capability that produces a monumental public sculpture produces a bar front, a wavy feature wall panel, a landscape water feature, or a kitchen benchtop. The scale changes; the material integrity does not.

III

Experiential & Brand

Physical assets for brand activations, campaign launches, retail environments, and events. We have delivered branded concrete for Heineken NZ, experiential props for Chemist Warehouse, and display systems for national retail campaigns. This work funds the studio; we do it well and we take it seriously.

We understand activation timelines, transport requirements, and the difference between a piece that photographs well and one that also survives a festival weekend. We can do both simultaneously.

How a Commission Works

Conversation

We begin with a discussion — in person in Christchurch, or online — about your brief. It can be fully resolved or barely a feeling. We are comfortable starting from almost nothing, and we have done it before.

Concept & Render

We develop photo-realistic 3D renders placed into the actual or representative site, and where scale demands it, a physical maquette. You see exactly what the piece will be before anything is built. This stage is where most commissions get significantly better.

Fabrication

All fabrication takes place in our studio. We keep you informed at material selection, finish, and milestone stages — particularly for large-scale work where your input shapes the outcome in ways that matter.

Delivery & Install

We deliver and install across New Zealand and discuss international commissions individually. We do not consider a commission complete until the piece is in place and you are satisfied with it.
